Tips for Applications

OK, so you've chosen your target colleges and you're ready to let them know you're interested
by applying.  How do you begin?  First, familiarize yourself with the Application Process.

Now, you're ready to apply.  There are several ways to do this, depending on the schools'
preferences (check their websites to find out how they prefer to receive applications).

    * Request that an application be mailed to you or go to the college's website and print
one.  Fill it out and mail it back to them.

    * Some colleges allow you to fill the application out and submit it over the internet.
In addition to college websites, many applications may be found at
PrincetonReview.com.  Electronic submissions may seem scary - get more information
       on the process here.

    * Many colleges allow applications using a standardized form called the
common application.  Download it, fill it out, photocopy it, and send it to several
colleges.  Just be sure your target colleges are willing to accept the common
      application.

stand out.  Letters of recommendation may also be required; make sure yours are noteworthy.
